Paris, July 1, 2021 - Deliveroo and the Casino Group are extending their partnership, signed in May 2020, for a further two years. This collaboration aims to allow Deliveroo customers to order the Casino Group's food brands’ products and have them delivered to their door in less than thirty minutes.
Deliveroo began deploying the Franprix brands on its platform, followed by ‘Monop', at the start of 2020, and then signed a partnership covering all the food brands of the Casino Group in May 2020.
The consolidation of the partnership will continue the deployment of the points of sale covered by the initial agreement as well as implement some new features:
- Coverage of 500 points of sale to date with a planned ramp-up in the coming months.
- Acceleration of the roll out of Monoprix and La Nouvelle Cave in the Paris region.
- Expansion to new cities: Nancy, Lille, Perpignan, Angers, Mulhouse, Bayonne, Le Mans, Brest, Blois, Compiègne, Arras.
- Increase in the number of products made available to customers.
On Deliveroo, the Casino Group brands offer an assortment of products tailored to consumers' needs for all occasions. There are savory and sweet groceries, fruits and vegetables, fresh products, as well as household products and hygiene products.
This agreement is part of Deliveroo's strategy to expand its on-demand grocery offer. Today, Deliveroo has more than 1,500 outlets in France, including major brands as well as local shops and independent food shops (wine merchants, bakers, butchers).
This partnership enables the Casino Group to offer ever more local services to its customers, particularly in buoyant formats (urban, premium and convenience stores), and thus, builds its strategy of food e-commerce.
This agreement completes a first successful phase of collaboration with Group Casino. This service has definitely won over Deliveroo's customers that are happy to order the Group's well-known brands again. They will also be able to benefit from an even wider choice in the second phase of this deployment.
